Local Area Augmentation System (LAAS): U.S. Federal Aviation Administration

Flatirons Solutions was engaged by the FAA’s LAAS Program Office and Advanced Management Technology Incorporated (AMTI) to develop a detailed life-cycle cost comparison of LAAS and ILS, systems specifically designed to support aircraft operations in the terminal, approach, surface, and departure operational domains. In response, Flatirons provided an estimation model that provideed flexibility in evaluating a broad range of LAAS development and deployment strategies and scenarios.

TFM Measurement & Analysis Report: U.S. Federal Aviation Administration

As part of continuous efforts to improve the Traffic Flow Management (TFM) system, the FAA required an unbiased analysis to support its Quantitative Performance Measurement (QPM) program and assess TFM program status and system effectiveness.
